For its plant of Bandirma in Turkey, The OEM Worthington Aritas needed valves to equip its fixed tanks and portable filled with Liquid Nitrogen.
The Liquid CO2 also called LCO2 is used in Food-Processing solutions to keep the foodstuffs by deep freezing (-50°C maximum).
Aritas called upon Meca-Inox to get valves answering to the FDA norms (Food & Drugs Administration).
The use of carbon steel and graphit being forbidden in the case of the facilities in contact with foodstuffs, the choice has fallen upon PS4 PG Inox 316L, with PTFE seats and ball with upsteam hole.
Theses valves adapt to low temperatures and the PTFE seat allow to provide security in terms of hygiene (no transmission of particules in the foodstuffs).
